This is a blog about the oldest human addiction: control.
It’s co-authored by Steve, a therapist who specializes in control issues, and Bert, his control-addicted inner monkey.
(Bert is a metaphor. Steve’s mostly real.)
For a fuller explanation of what this is all about, click on CONTROL: AN INTRODUCTION and MEET MY MONKEY above.
Feedback welcome, always.
Glad you found us.

This post made me laugh, feel sad, feel empathy, experience gratitude, feel connected as we are all in the one boat. Skills for coping in my opinion would be patience, gratitude, living in the present moment and trust in a universal life force that is greater and more powerful than anything man has created. 🙏
